Sony developing external battery pack for PS Vita

PlayStation Vita’s battery life — as revealed yesterday — is not exactly fantastic; 3-5 hours of game time at default settings and you’ll need a recharge. To make gaming on the go last a tad longer though, Sony’s developing an external battery pack for the device.

IGN got the news from Sony Worldwide Studios prez Shuhei Yoshida. “If you’re flying from New York to San Francisco or vice versa, you’ll have no concerns [about running out of power] if you have the additional external battery,” he said.

No word on how many extra hours the add-on would add, nor how much it would cost just yet though.
