Past SoulCalibur games prepping for DLC release?

As SoulCalibur V gears up for an early 2012 release, it looks like we could be getting a blast from the series’ past before the latest entry.

Game director Daishi Odashima has suggested as much on his Twitter account (via). A translation on one of his posts reveals that Namco Bandai is “thinking of releasing past SC series as DLC”.

DLC? Could Odashima have really meant standalone HD updates that we’re so used to seeing these days?  We’ll have to wait a bit to find out.
