Final Fantasy X HD Remake Announced For PS3 & PS Vita

A Final Fantasy X Remake in High Definition for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita has been announced by Square Enix!

Absolutely no solid information on this remastering was revealed, other than the fact that it IS happening, although Square did say the visuals will be beautiful and elegant. The remake is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Final Fantasy X!

WOW! Ten years. Craziness. And while some will be extremely pissed that this wasn’t a Final Fantasy VII Remake announcement, it really makes much more sense to remake FFX, as the transition from PS2 visuals to current-gen is much easier than it would be for a PS1 title, which would have to be entirely remade from scratch.

Either way you shake it though, this is extremely cool news. Final Fantasy X is actually my favorite game in the series and a game I absolutely adore, as you can read in my Final Fantasy X Review from years back. Also give my Final Fantasy VII Review a read.
