Activision says CoD: XP livestream was second most-watched in history

Yes, you read that headline correctly. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg recently told IndustryGamers that the livestream of Call of Duty: XP was immensely popular.

He said the livestream of the convention was so popular that it was the second most-watched livestream in history. Putting that in perspective, Hirshberg said the Royal Wedding currently sits at number 1, and a President Obama speech at number 3.

Its popularity is not without merit, though. Call of Duty: XP was quite a spectacle. On top of giving gamers the first real look at Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer, the convention also hosted big name musicians Dropkick Murhphys and Kanye West.
